On my commute yesterday morning, I snapped a picture of the neighborhood heron, hanging out with the neighborhood egyptian geese.

12 years ago I had the joy and pleasure of an evening at Whelans in Dublin with Biz Markie, and I shot this photo, among others, on the evening.

Biz had everyone at the venue in his hand, as he turned out classic after classic, while DJing in between. I have never, and will never forget that evening.

Now he ain't here no more, but his music and his contributions remain. 57 is way too young, but he gave so much to the culture he was a part of.
